This Privacy Policy explains how CodePrepped ("we", "us", "our") handles personal information when you use our website and interview prep platform.

Information we collect

  • Account data — name, email address, and authentication credentials managed through Neon Auth.
  • Profile & usage data — role track, tech stack preferences, XP, streaks, daily goals, arena progress, trainer sessions, keyword quiz results, and job tracker entries you create.
  • Billing data — subscription plan and payment status processed by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers on our servers.
  • Technical data — browser type, device information, and logs needed to operate and secure the service.

How we use information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and improve the CodePrepped product
  • Authenticate you and enforce plan entitlements
  • Process subscriptions and billing events via Stripe
  • Send essential service messages (e.g. password reset, billing notices)
  • Monitor reliability, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information.

AI features

When you use the AI Trainer, your prompts and job descriptions may be sent to our AI providers (Groq, Google Gemini, and/or xAI) to generate feedback. Do not submit confidential employer information you are not permitted to share.

Third-party services

We rely on trusted processors including:

  • Neon — database and authentication
  • Stripe — payments and customer portal
  • Groq — AI inference for trainer modes and voice transcription
  • Google (Gemini) — AI inference fallback for trainer modes
  • Vercel (or your host) — application hosting

Each provider processes data under their own terms and privacy policies.

Data retention

We retain account and progress data while your account is active. If you have no active plan access and no live subscription, you can permanently delete your account under Settings → Profile. Otherwise, request deletion by contacting us. Billing records may be kept as required for tax and compliance.

Your rights

Depending on your location (including UK GDPR and US state privacy laws), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to object to certain processing. Eligible users can delete their account in Settings → Profile; for other requests, contact contact@codeprepped.com.
